A New Beginning

“At 46, going on a date is practically a sport: magical evening or new mistake?” I created this little scene inspired by my friends who recently left long-term relationships and are about to start a new chapter. You never know if you’ll meet the right person right away, but above all I hope they have fun with these new encounters. The setting comes from my town Gif‑sur‑Yvette: the terrace of the restaurant Canapé, with its really warm and colorful atmosphere. Illustration made with watercolor, Derwent Inktense colored pencils, and Caran d’Ache Neocolor II watercolor pastels on A3 (29×42 cm).
